Joseph D. Sain

Joseph D. Sain, 79 of Fort Wayne passed away on September 11, 2019 at home surrounded by family. He was born on February 27, 1940 to the late Joseph H. and Anna (Stephens) Sain in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He served in the United States Army, stationed in Berlin. Joe was a member of the American Legion Post 0082 and the Third Street Church of God for many years. He loved his family and serving the lord. Joe enjoyed playing sports and telling jokes to anyone that would listen. Surviving him are his wife of 59 years, Barbara (Rowe) Sain, daughter, Michelle Cheathams; sons, John (Debbie) and Steven Sain; many grandchildren; many great grandchildren; great- great grandson, Carter; brother, Frank Nesbitt; sisters, Judith Ramey, Ruth McCormick, Margie Lake, Ellen Buch, and Joann Nesbitt. Also preceding him in passing are his brothers, Gerald Sr., Kenneth, and Carl Sain; sisters, Eva Hendress and Helen Nesbitt. A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Monday, September 16, 2019 at C.M. Sloan and Sons funeral home 1327 M. Wells Street Fort Wayne, Indiana 46808 with visitation one hour prior.
