

Joseph John Volosin, 81, of Fort Wayne passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home. He was born on May 18, 1929 to the late Charles and Mary Volosin in Pittsburgh, PA. He worked for Western Union and later Brookwood Golf Course. He was a member at Waynedale United Methodist Church and also attended St. Nicholes Eastern Orthodox Church. He served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict and later became a member of the American Legion Post #241. He also enjoyed spending time playing golf at Brookwood Golf Course. Surviving family include his daughter, Karen (Mel) McClain of Roanoke; grandchildren, April (Garrett) Cook of Ft. Wayne, Ashley (Matt) Hofferth of Noblesville, IN; great-grandchildren, Bella Rose, Nico and Briana Cook. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sons, Joseph John, Jr. and Steven Joseph Volosin; 3 brothers and 1 sister. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, January 8, 2010 at 4:30 pm at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior. Visitation also from 4-8 PM on Friday, January 7, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Donations my be made in Mr. Volosin's name to the Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home.
