Obituary of Joseph Webster
Joseph Webster was born on January 17, 1931 in Lake Village, Arkansas to Elbert and (Carrie Mae) Webster. He passed away peacefully on March 15, 2023. He accepted Christ in his life, and along with his wife they were charter members of True Love Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Bishop Jesse White, and continued their service and walk of faith with Pastor Robert Bell. Joseph served his country proudly for 4 years and 10 months in the United States Army and received his honorable discharge in February 1956. On December 31, 1963, he was united in holy matrimony to Franklyn "Frankie" 0. Agnew-Norton. Joe was a hard worker and believed in providing for his family. He was a man of many trades, including employment at Johnson Steel Mill, General Tires, Sears Automotive, Phelps Dodge Magnet Wire and FWCS. After retiring from the workforce he still found things to do. He particularly enjoyed working outside, landscaping and various outdoor projects. He also offered these services to neighbors and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and (Carrie Mae) Webster; wife of 57 years, Frankie Octavia Webster; daughters, Jacqueline Fontaine Webster and Yvonne Walker; son, Larry Giles; sisters, Marie Ellen Webster and Ferdie Howard and brothers Elbert Webster and Cleophus Webster. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Patricia Fox, Sandra Webster, Lana (Rev. Cornelius Jr.) Hill, Joseph Webster Jr. and Elbert (Roblyn) Webster; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
