Josephine H. Reich, 89, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023. Josephine was born April 1, 1934 in Fort Wayne, daughter to the late Robert Anthony and Josephine Harlow (Dodez) Burns. She was a 1953 graduate of South Side High School and worked as a homemaker throughout most of her life, caring for her home and family. Surviving her are her daughters, Ellen (William) Stauffer and Susan (Roger, Sr.) Conrad, both of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Roger Conrad, Jr., Silvia Conrad, Sarah Conrad, Amelia (David) Smith, Samuel (Jackie) Stauffer, Gabriel Stauffer, and Aidan Stauffer; great granddaughter, Madeline Smith; sister, Barbara Morsches; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis B. Reich in 2013; and sister, Patricia Cross. Funeral services will be on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Episcopal Church, 611 West Berry Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46802 with visitation one hour prior. Visitation for Josephine will also be held Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46819. Burial will be at Lindenwood Cemetery. Contributions in Josephine's memory may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church or Fort Wayne Rescue Mission.
