Judith L. “Judi” Fitzgerald, 83, of Leo, Indiana passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024. She was born on June 9, 1941 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, a daughter of the late Milton and Dorothy (Starkenberg) Hondorp. She worked as a transcriptionist for Fort Wayne Orthopedics for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed puzzles and was famous for all the different items she would bake. Judi will be remembered most for loving and caring for her family. Surviving family include her husband, Jim A. Fitzgerald; children, Jim M. (Deb) Fitzgerald, Jeff (Suzanne) Fitzgerald, and Jodi (Dragan) Jovevski; grandchildren, Zach (Ashley) Fitzgerald, Nick Flint, Taylor (Brie) Fitzgerald, Josh Jovevski, Jordyn Fitzgerald, Brendan Fitzgerald, and Olivia Jovevski; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Eleanor Fitzgerald; and siblings, Marge Klenk, Sheri Clay, and Tom Hondorp. Besides her parents, Judi was preceded in passing by her granddaughter, Emily Jovevski; and sister, Diane Scott. A celebration of life service will be 3:00 pm on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 1:00 pm.
