

Kanwaljeet Kaur, 55, originally from New Delhi, India, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and a true warrior whose strength, compassion, and joyful spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Born on November 27, 1970, in New Delhi, India, Kanwaljeet was the beloved daughter of Avtar Kaur and Arjun Singh. From an early age, she carried a vibrant personality that reflected her name—bubbly, warm, and always spreading joy wherever she went. She had a natural gift for bringing people together and making everyone feel welcomed and valued.
Kanwaljeet was a courageous fighter throughout her life. She battled and overcame cancer in 2020 with remarkable strength and determination. Later, she faced another serious health challenge when she was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. In September 2024, she underwent a lung transplant and bravely continued her fight with resilience and grace. Even through these hardships, she remained a pillar of strength for her family and a source of inspiration for many.
Professionally, Kanwaljeet worked as a fashion designer for 25 years, where her creativity and passion flourished. After moving to the United States, she continued to share her warmth and dedication while working as a retail store manager. Her kindness and welcoming personality made her beloved by coworkers and customers alike; many people would visit simply to see her and enjoy her uplifting presence.
Kanwaljeet expressed her love most through the simple joys of life. She loved cooking meals for family and friends, believing food was one of the purest ways to share love. She also enjoyed dancing, shopping, and spending meaningful time with those she cared for. Her giving nature and willingness to sacrifice for her loved ones defined the way she lived her life.
She is survived by her husband, Sohan Singh; her son, Amandeep Singh; and her daughter, Sukhmani Kaur, along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory forever.
Kanwaljeet was preceded in death by her parents, Avtar Kaur and Arjun Singh, and her sister, Harvinder Kaur.
A service in her memory will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Dashmesh Sikh Gurudwara, 15020 Illinois Rd, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Cremation will follow at 1:30 p.m. at McComb and Sons Tribute Center, 2307 W Main St, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Kanwaljeet Kaur will be remembered for her immense strength, loving heart, and the joy she brought into the lives of others. Her legacy of kindness, resilience, and unconditional love will continue to live on through her family and all who were blessed to know her.
