KARL WATSON, 90, passed away Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018. He was a World War II veteran serving in the Army Air Corps as an aircraft mechanic.
He then worked for several companies as a heavy equipment mechanic and construction in various locations in North and South America prior to retiring from John Deer Industrial Equipment. Karl enjoyed working on any type of engines including steam engines.
Surviving are his children, Stephen (Becky) Watson and Karlette (Nestor) Fernandez; grandson, Wesley (Ronda) Watson; and ex-wife, Marolyn Watson. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph, Harold and Raymond.
Service is 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27, 2018 at C. M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St., with visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and a Masonic service at 12:30 p.m. Burial is 2:30 p.m. Monday at the South Whitley Cemetery.
