Katy touched me in so many ways. From the day I felt her kick in Colleen's belly (a first for me), to our silly wrestling matches at Fox Hills, to our final conversation when she tried to comfort me with advice about my pain. Now, she continues to touch me through songs on the radio and when I see such spunk in Kaitlyn that reminds me of her. Her heart grows on. But, to my sister, Colleen, my brother, Rick, and their amazing children, Joe, Beth and Maria, my heart goes out to you. I am here for all of you and continue to look for the 'signs' that I know your beautiful Katy sends.

I met Katy when she was about five years old. We were new to the neighborhood and Katy came knocking at our door, with Maria in tow, to welcome us and ask to play. This began my beautiful relationship with my "little Katy". For the next five years, she ran across back yards to come over and jump on our whirlpool, watch TV and hang out. She went everywhere with my boy, Ryan Brezette and I. We danced at Applebees, giggled through movies and played at parks and the zoo. One of my favorite memories is surprising her with front row tickets to her favorite boy band, The Hanson Brothers, for her birthday. She was sick the night of the concert but came and rocked it out anyhow. Katie and I had bestfriend necklaces we shared despite that I was more of a motherfigure than a tween. I loved Katie and remember being in the hospital with her when she got her pacemaker. We didn't spend much time together after I left the neighborhood but Katie was always in my heart. She will remain a special person in my life and in my heart. I thank her family for sharing her with me.

We were truly blessed to have Katy in our lives...she was beautiful inside and out. We're still struggling with why her time on earth was cut so short...but we also know that God takes only the very best. We're sure His plan for her is something we can only imagine...Katy and Evan's love will continue on...To Rick, Colleen, Joe, Sarah, Bethany, Ben, Maria, and Aaron, we continue to pray for you to find the strength to get through this as we also are trying to do. We love all of you...To Katy, we love and miss you so much...until we meet again...

David and I were out of town when we heard this sad news. Our entire family is sending prayers and warm thoughts to the Annis family. We remember Katy as a precious little girl. So sorry this has happened and hope that the love of your family and friends who knew and remember Katy will help ease your profound sorrow.

I was a friend of Katy's and her hairdresser. I met her through Stacey Kenyon 9 years ago at Mick's Rec Room. We used to sing karaoke and act like silly teenage girls together. She even came over and helped us girls do our hair for our junior prom. Katy was such an inspiration, even to those older than her. She had so much love and kindness to share. I didn't get to cut her hair often because she was always letting it grow out to donate to Locks of Love to make wigs for children with cancer. Just another way that her legacy of love will live on through someone else. My prayers are with the Annis family. May God give you the strength to make it through this difficult time.

As Evan's cousin, I had the pleasure of meeting Katy when she came to family gatherings with him. What a sweet person she was! And she made Evan so happy! We know she was the one for him! Although a few weeks ago when I saw her, she joked that if she had to choose between Evan and Cosmo, she would choose Cosmo ;) She will be deeply missed. Prayers to her loved ones. Until we meet again. Rest in Heaven, Katy.
