Katherine, and I meet at Lutheran Homes. I was hanging several items on the wall of her room. I noticed that Katherine had several crosses and crucifixes. I asked her why she had both. Katherine stated " she was not sure which was correct, she was just covering her bases. Katherine and I fast became friends and she will be missed.

To the Family of Katherine,
On behalf of myself and your sisters and brothers of the Ossian United Methodist Church, please accept our sincere condolences.
We are praying that God’s comforting arms will encompass you and provide you with the strength needed at this time of bereavement.
We know that a life in Christ does not end when the earthly journey is over. So, we are asking God to shower you with love that would sustain you and offer comfort as you remember Katherine.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord, we continue to lift you up in our thoughts and prayers.
Grace and peace,
Rev. David Herr

When Katherine was at Sycamore Village she Resident of the Month for January 2010. I had the pleasure of interviewing her and getting her life story. She was a fun loving person and enjoyed talking with people and having a good time. Her and Jack attended Dunfee Missionary Church and became friends of several people. She became my adoptive Mom as I lost my Mom in 2006. She was a wonderful blessing and a good listener. May the Lord be with you all in the coming days.
