

Born October 8, 1929, in Mongo, Indiana, Kathleen was the daughter of M. Vere and Catharine (Iddings) Fair. She graduated from Springfield Township High School, Mongo in 1947 and married Daniel Burton Faust (known to many as Burt), of Fort Wayne, on October 18, 1947. Early in their marriage, Kathleen worked at Gardner’s Drive-In Restaurant and General Electric before becoming a stay-at-home mom to raise their four children. The couple built their first home in 1953 on Vance Avenue—one of the earlier homes built in the neighborhood. In 1966, they moved to North Anthony Boulevard, and in 1987, moved to their third and final home in the Tamarack neighborhood, where they lived for the remainder of their lives. Kathleen and Burt were married for fifty-two years when Burt passed away on July 31, 2000. Kathleen enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and spending time with family.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters, Jennie Miller, Betty Lou Ramer, and Pat Blankenship; and her son-in-law, Carl Ramer. Surviving Kathleen are her four children: Debra Ramer of Fort Wayne, Danny (Martín) of Dallas, Dennis (Kelly) of Indianapolis, and David of Indianapolis; as well as six grandchildren: Shannon Merrell (Neil) of Zionsville, Angie Jones (Timothy) of Zionsville, Dustin McConnell (Emily) of Dewitt, Michigan, Emily McConnell-Davis (Onye) of Indianapolis, Tessa McConnell of San Francisco, and Sam Faust of Indianapolis.
A private burial service will be held for immediate family on August 21 at Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
