

Born on April 7, 1949 in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Donald Hoy and Mary Helen McClellan. She was the longtime owner and operator of the Hill Top Tavern in Columbia City near Big Lake. Surviving her are four sons, Daniel Brown of Michigan City, Darryck Dorman (Angie) of Greenfield, Buddy Waters of Columbia City and Carl Waters of Albion; and six grandchildren, Alec, Natalia, Dyanna, Dylan, Mackenzie and Taylor. She enjoyed Nascar, Florida beaches, and Indiana lakes, and mostly she loved spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Donald Hoy, mother Mary Helen McClellan, and a son, Donald Dorman. Veronica Rhodes lovingly cared for her during the last year of her life. The family gives her their greatest gratitude. She will be missed by her family and friends.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no funeral services. A celebration of life will be given in her honor for family and friends to share good memories at her business at a later date.
