Jan and Ryan, I am so sorry for your loss.  I will always remember Keith's kindness, patience, and humor.  I remember fondly testing his patience with my limited "Industrial Arts" abilities or lack thereof, as well as the "Sleepless in Seattle" soundtrack we played at the lake over and over that summer.  His creative problem solving "stick it out the window" will always make me laugh.  As well as ripping me out of my water skis on my very first attempt.  Looking back, there may have been a correlation with previously mentioned CD...?  Thanks to all of you for the many wonderful memories.  He will be greatly missed but not forgotten. He was one of my favorite teachers and he will be missed.

Mr. Dafforn was and always will be the greatest teacher to ever walk into a classroom. My prayers go out to Mrs. Dafforn and his son David... "Now he is making clocks with Jesus"

Loved his class. I still have the plastic golf tees and bottle cap that I made in his class...Sad to hear the news,he will be missed.

I was sorry to see of Mr Dafforn passing. Keith was one of my favorite teachers at Crestview. I still have my plastic bud vase, wooden horse clock and metal wall sconce that I made from his class. I never lost the enjoyment of working with tools or the fasination of taking something so simple as a block of wood and turning it into something. I will never forget some of the horror stories of shop accidents he told us about. I was scared to death of the buffer/grinder with my long hair back then. I think that's how I picked up my habit of carrying a hair band with me all the time. Thank you for the wonderful experiences that I will treasure for the rest of my life. Prayers go out to Jan, Ryan and his family.

A good teacher motivates a student to learn, however a great teacher makes a difference in that student's life. It is clear by the notes left by former students on here that Mr. Dafforn was one of the great ones. A man with a real passion for lifting up and educating young minds. Gods blessings to the family, may they find peace in knowing he made a difference in so many lives.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Mr. Dafforn. He was an excellent teacher and a great role model for his students! I know both him and Jan made an impact on my life. My deepest condolences to you as we all mourn the loss of a great man!! He will be missed.

By his kind teaching, I developed a great love and respect for all types of projects. He taught me to rebuild a little lawn mower engine, and 20 years later, I was rebuilding a turbine jet engine. Much love and sorrow.

My deepest sympathies to the family. My mom Margaret and Dad Robert Fuller were Shorty and Grace's Dafforns neighbors and friends/ Keith's sister Barb and I were best friends at Pleasant Center Elementary School.  I went to Ball State and became a teacher too.  When I was a freshman at Ball State, I used to bum rides home with Keith in his VW.  Judy (Fuller) Scheumann

Mr.Dafforn was definitely a role model in my life as a young 8th grader at crestview. Mrs. Dafforn was just as great. Sad loss for our community. He will be greatly missed by many im sure.

Mrs. Dafforn, so sorry to hear about Mr. Dafforn.  I enjoyed having both of you as my teachers at Crestview.  He always made class so much fun and taught everyone so much too.  He was a great man who will be missed.  I will never forget when I bought your jeep years ago and how nice and clean it was, you could tell he took good care of it, especially when I found his list in the glove box with all the information on all the oil changes and whatever else he did.  You will be in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Even though he once gave me a detention for talking too much I still appreciated him and Mrs. Dafforn as my teachers. My parents still use the cutting board I made in his Industrial Arts class 24 years ago!

the world lost a good man right here . Mr. and Mrs. Dafforn were the only teachers classes i ever looked forward to going to . there would be a lot less good mechanics around if not for him ,he was an inspiration to many . my thoughts are with you .

Mr. Dafforn you were a great teacher and mentor. You taught with passion and also made sure safety came first in your industrial class. My prayer are with you all.

Mr. D was an awesome teacher, funny with a great smirk.  My mom still has all the metal candle holders and plastic bowls my brother, sisters, and I made while in his class. He will be missed. Prayers and love to the family in this difficult journey.

In working with Keith's wife, Jan for the past 11 years I have learned so much about what an awesome man he was. The cantankerous humor, amazing ability to fix anything, and the best qualities of being a loyal husband and father. My heart breaks for Jan and Ryan during this time.  You will be missed Keith, but never forgotten...

I am a woodworing hobbist and owe much of my skill and dedication to two people, my dad and Daffy.  I cherish the many memories I have of Keith as his boss, his colleague and mostly as his friend.  He touched many more young lives than he may have known.  Donna and I have a wooden turned fruit bowl on our counter and a black metal fog lantern on our smoker's cabinet, both eighth grade shop projects made by Craig and Daffy.  Who will I turn to now for electrical advice?  Jan and Ryan, our thoughts and our prayers go to you.  Just concentrate on all of the good times. I'll miss Daffy, and I can't imagine going by the house and not seeing the red truck, or the little old fart out mowing the yard wearing his sun hat.  Tom and Donna Alexander
