Kenneth Hoeppner Sr., age 86, peacefully passed away at his home on September 27, 2023, due to natural causes. He was surrounded by the love and memories of his family. Kenneth was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley D. Hoeppner, who undoubtedly greeted him with open arms.
Kenneth leaves behind a cherished legacy and will be deeply missed by his surviving family members. His son, Ken Hoeppner Jr., grandson Chris Hoeppner, and Chris's fiancé Sara Harlan will forever hold fond memories of their time spent with Kenneth. Additionally, his granddaughter Ashley (Hoeppner) and her husband Robby Jackson, grandson Jesse Coan and his wife Tara Coan, and their children Lily, Liam, and Landon, along with grandson Josh Coan and his children Harper and Cooper, will forever treasure the love and guidance Kenneth provided.
In addition to his son Ken, Kenneth is survived by his son Kevin Hoeppner and Kevin's wife Crystal Hoeppner. Kenneth's grandchildren, Erin Hoeppner, Chris Shatto, Cody Hoeppner, Austin Shatto, and their children Daniel, Annabelle, Arden, Harrison, Natalie, and Charlotte, will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Kenneth's son Kerry Hoeppner and his wife Lori Hoeppner, along with his grandchildren Karissa Hoeppner, Cesar Roggero, and Aiden Roggero, will remember him as a source of strength and inspiration throughout their lives.
The family will be holding a visitation at D.O. McComb and Sons Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Rd Ft Wayne, IN from 2-5 pm on Thursday, October 5, 2023. The funeral service will take place at Christ Lutheran Church, 4412 Park St, Woodburn, IN 46797, on Friday, October 6th at 1 pm, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Kenneth Hoeppner Sr. was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His kind heart, unwavering support, and gentle spirit touched the lives of all who knew him. He will be remembered for his wisdom, generosity, and the legacy of love he leaves behind.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or a charity of personal choice in Kenneth's memory.
