Kent was born on October 18, 1952, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to George W. Graue and Dolores A. Graue (Brubaker). He graduated from South Side High School in 1971 and spent the years that followed building a life defined by hard work and devotion to family. In 1973, he married Denise A. Crowe, and the couple welcomed their son, Justin, in 1980. Kent then went on to get remarried to Nancy A. Hill in 1994, where they lived in Memphis, Tennessee and later in Pace, Florida.
For much of his career, Kent worked in retail, a field well-suited to his personable nature and approachable demeanor. Over time, this helped him build lasting relationships with those closest to him.
Kent is survived by his son, Justin, and his wife, Megan, his grandchildren, Olivia and Ethan, along with his brother, Scott, and his wife Nancy.
Committal and burial will be held at Covington Memorial Gardens at 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46804.
