Obituary of Kimberley Jo Little
Kimberley Jo Little, 62, passed away May 30, 2024, at Parkview Randallia Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN, surrounded by her daughter Samantha and the loving nurses at Parkview Randallia Hospice. She was born October 14, 1961, in Piggott, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Joseph and Betty (Miller) Little. She graduated from high school in 1979 and earned her Masters from Weber University. Kimberley was a Master Sargent in the U.S Air Force and proudly served from 1981-2002 whereupon she was medically discharged. During her service, Kimberley made history at multiple points and earned high esteem amongst the generals she worked for and with. Despite the trials she faced in the military, Kimberley always held herself and others to the highest standards, and left no man or woman behind in battle or otherwise. In the civilian world, she worked at the Northern Indiana Veterans Hospital in Fort Wayne for 17 years in Voluntary Services, Surgery, Military Sexual Trauma (MST), and at last in Social Work as the Administrative Officer prior to her passing. Kimberley was a loving mother, friend, and faithful follower of our Lord God Almighty. She greatly loved her children and did her best to raise them in the ways of God while also pursuing a God-filled life. Despite trials and tribulations throughout her life, Kimberley remained strong in her faith and dedicated herself to the Lord, wanting and longing for they day He would welcome her home. When she wasn’t praying or watching one of her favorite television series, she made magic in the kitchen and created the most wonderful cookies and brownies you could ever taste among other wonderful recipes she could create and change for the better. Her secret ingredient: kindness. Kimberley was very extroverted, and could talk to anyone and anything, even a wall. Her kindness knew no bounds and her want to help others remained with her from her military days. She loved her family and friends with every fiber of her being, giving thanks always to God. Now, she rests with our Lord and Savior, and we hold onto the knowledge of God’s faithfulness that through our faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, we can be reunited with her in Heaven someday. Kimberley is survived by her children, Samantha Little of Fort Wayne, IN; Benjamin Little of Sunset, UT; Tabitha Slack of NY; Megan Worthington of Fruit Heights, UT; sister, Gayle Belanger of Missouri; grandchildren, Kasen, Adaleen, Kaylei, Lilly, and Mina. Funeral services will be conducted at Family Funeral Care 13001 South 3600 W. Riverton, UT. Burial will be at Utah Veterans Cemetery and Memorial Park in Bluffdale,UT. .
