Lance Robert De Bolt departed his earthly home on April 6th, 2021 after multiple health problems. He was born September 20th, 1950 in Eugene, OR, second son to his parents Robert and Lee De Bolt. He grew up in Eugene, OR with his sister and two brothers. The family moved to Fort Wayne, IN in 1966. Lance joined the Army and proudly served his country. After his Honorable Discharge, Lance began working as an Auto/Body Mechanic. Lance was a Master Mechanic. He loved to build and ride motorcycles, cars, and his boat. Lance was fun loving and witty and enjoyed going to the lake. He was Post Commander of American Legion Post 296. Lance was married first to Jackie Montague and then to Diane Waltemath in 1996. Diane preceded him in death.
Lance is survived by his sister, Diane Retton of Eugene, OR; brother, Bruce (Pamela) De Bolt of Roanoke, IN; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lee De Bolt; wife, Diane; brother, Danny James; and brother-in-law, Tony Retton. A private service will be held at a later date.
