

Larry D. Gouker, 82, of Muncie, and formerly of Fort Wayne, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015. He was born on March 1, 1933 in Goshen, Indiana a son of the late Marvin and Mary (Miller) Gouker. He served four years in the U.S. Navy. He worked in sales at Carpet One where he was a multiple year million dollar sales club member. He was a member of the Summit City Masonic Lodge # 170 and enjoyed golf, gambling, traveling, shopping, and his family. Three years after leaving the military, he was married to his soul mate and love of his life for 55 years, Janice Gouker; also surviving are his children, Lori (Craig) Hall, Dawn (Steven) Abbott, Kirk (Kathie) Gouker and Beth (Brad) Slaven; nine grandchildren, Tara (Matt) Pike, Kim (Brad) Justus, Chelsey Abbott, Amy (Joe) Mottweiler, Adam (Hannah) Gouker, Allison Gouker, Mindy (Luis) Aguilo, Aaron (Amber) Ryan, and Stacey Ryan; 14 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Terry and Dennis Gouker and Joyce Chaney and Judy (Jim) Glenn. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in passing by his granddaughter, Brooke Ann Carroll. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Grace Presbyterian Church, 1811 Fairhill Drive, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2015 at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Grace Presbyterian Church or Parkinson's Foundation.
