Larry Alfred Kohls

Larry Alfred Kohls, 67, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at his home in Woodburn, IN. He was born on September 6, 1958, in Fort Wayne, IN, the son of the late Alfred and Nilah Joyce Kohls (nee Castator).

Larry graduated from Northrop High School in 1977 and earned his Associates Degree from Ivy Tech. He was a CNC Machinist at Zimmer Biomet for almost 25 years and retired in 2024.

Larry was an avid bowler and could be found on the lanes about three days a week. His passion started at Oak Lanes in Huntington, IN and more recently at EZ Bowl in Bluffton, IN. He enjoyed family events and spending time at Big Barbee Lake.

Larry is survived by his sisters, Pauline (Greg) Zimmerman of Hicksville, OH; Penny Notestine (Greg) Tackett of Hicksville, OH; and brother, Luke (Natalee) Kohls of Kenduskeag, Maine; nephews, Drew (Whitney ) Kohls of Maine; Trever (Danielle) Kohls of Bluffton, IN; Jason (Crystal) Zimmerman of Fort Wayne, IN; Jon (Karla) Notestine of Huntington, IN; Alex (Mitchell) Kohls of Maine; and nieces, Brittany (Brandon Dunderman) Sholl of Hicksville, OH; Em (Rob) Elston of New Haven, IN; and Sierra (Tristin Hardin) Rice of Yoder, IN.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, July 3, 2026, at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, IN with visitation two hours prior.

Committal and burial will be at 2:30 pm on Friday July 3, 2026, at Rose Hill Cemetery, 489 West Main Street, Abion, IN 46701, where he will be laid to rest next to his grandfather.
