

Laura Lee Jackson, 72, of Roanoke, Indiana, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024. Born on July 13, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Wilma (Reddin) Merriman. Laura dedicated 22 years of her career to Magnavox, followed by another 24 years at BAE Systems, where she ultimately retired. Family and friends were the focal points of her life, and she cherished the time spent with them. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the absolute light of her life. Laura had a passion for travel, whether it was a short road trip with a friend to pick up a puppy or a family vacation. She was always eager to explore new places. An avid reader, Laura had a particular fondness for "True Crime" novels long before they became a popular genre. Every night, she would fall asleep listening to "True Crime" podcasts, indulging her love for intriguing stories. Laura is survived by her husband, Raymond Jackson; her daughters, Kimberly Jackson and Ray Ann Jackson; her grandchildren, Kirsten (Chris Barnhart) Schroeder and Terry J. Grabner; her great-grandchildren, Kade Schroeder, Jackson Barnhart, and Hazel Barnhart; and her sister, Vickie Merriman. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, located at 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46809.
