Reading through several of these comments, I can clearly see that Lauren had a blessed life in which she radiated love through her smiles and personality and received so much love through her family and those who came to know her. I’ve not seen her/you since her preschool years at Turnstone. It warms my heart to see, through all written here, what a lovely woman she became. So sorry for your loss.

Lauren it was a honor to have been your caregiver even though it was only for a short time. I will remember your amazing smile. How you loved music and the color purple 💜. How you made me feel like a million bucks when I got you to smile 😃, and reminded me that I need to find joy in living everyday. RIP Lauren and look forward to seeing you again in Heaven.

Dear Lynn, John, and all the family and friends who knew and loved Lauren:
Lauren was a warm, wonderful young woman who dealt with her circumstances in a way as to teach us all a lesson on perseverance. She gave love and was loved. I remember most Dad (trying) to sing to her and how his froggy voice delighted her. In my mind, I see Lauren, Grace, and Dad all together again singing at the top of their lungs. Then I see Dad and Grace walking hand in hand with Lauren, showing her Muir Woods for the first time.
You all have our deepest sympathy.
Love, Ruth and Doug

Lauren was a light in the world to everyone who knew her. Her sense of humor was huge as was her stubborn streak. :-) She kept us on our toes and made our lives better. I loved her as a student and then just as a friend when she was grown up. May memories help ease the pain of her loss. Love to you, Lynn and John, and to other family members that I've never met. Lauren was a true star for this world.
peace be the journey......

I first met Lauren at her school when she was in kindergarten. I worked with her in various grades up through high school. She has also participated in the Friendship Class at Blackhawk Ministries. She "lit up the room" with her smile, especially as we sang joyful/"peppy" songs together. Her laughter (especially when I made a mistake!) was contagious. Her love for "purple," butterflies, and her family/friends is well known to all who know her. To know Lauren was to love her. (We still do.) I grieve over her passing and for her mom and dad in particular. I am so thankful for the promise we can see her again in heaven-able to walk, run, jump, speak, sing and dance. Even while grieving, I am so glad that God comforts us with the promise of heaven, when we trust in Him.

I worked with Lauren at Camp Red Cedar for the past few years and everyday with her was an absolute joy. She was always full of an infectious smile that would fill the room. Lauren was the sweetest and happiest person everywhere she went. I have the fondest memories with her singing during lunch and her just beaming over Jeff coming yo say ‘hi’. Lauren was a beautiful soul who everyone was lucky to meet her and share in her joy. I’ll miss her greatly.

I worked at Camp Red Cedar the past 5 summers and seeing Lauren there made not only my day, but countless other counselors. Anytime her counselor mentioned my name or I came over to talk to her, she had a instant smile. A smile that will forever be engraved in my mind and everyone elses who she came into contact with.
