Lawrence Allen Council

Lawrence Allen Council, 66, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022, at his home in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born December 15, 1955, in Franklin, Indiana, the son of the late Winston and Orpha Council.

Lawrence was a self-employed painter from the time he graduated from R. Nelson Snider High school until his final days. He also earned a degree in accounting from International Business College. Lawrence was an avid gardener and enjoy watching I.U. Basketball and the Chicago Cubs.

He is survived by his sister Kim Daler (Bret Krontz) of Fort Wayne, IN; nieces, Shannon (Aaron) Clifton of Auburn, IN, and Rebecka (Tony) Hasselschwert of Fort Wayne, IN; nephew, Allen (Elysia) Daler of Fort Wayne, IN; and 6 great-nieces and 2 great-nephews. Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Nancy Council.

A memorial service to honor Lawrence's life will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, September 16, 2022, at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, with a gathering one hour prior. He will be laid to rest at Leo Memorial Park Cemetery, Leo, Indiana.
