

LAWRENCE "LARRY" F. DOCTOR, 88, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015, at Signature Care Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Antwerp, Ohio, Lawrence worked as an installer with General Telephone for 36 1/2 years, retiring in 1989. He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran and a Purple Heart recipient. Larry was a member of the Waynedale United Methodist Church, Past Grand of Odd Fellow's I.O.O.F. Harmony Lodge 19; Past Chief Patriot of Summit Encampment 16; and Past Captain of Fort Wayne Canton 17 Patriarch militant. Surviving are his loving wife of 40 years, Delorah Dudley Doctor; daughters, Linda Feaster of Massachusetts, Cheryl Brewer of Carmel, Ind. and Julia Grannis of Monroeville, Ind.; sons, Eugene Doctor of Westfield, Ind. and John C. Dudley of Fort Wayne; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert F. Doctor and Norweiga Beryl Doctor; first wife, Maria Doctor; one great- grandchild. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2015, at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to Waynedale United Methodist Church.
