Lawrence Maurice "Moon" Williams, passed away on September 24, 2026, at the age of 53. He was born on November 12, 1972, in Buffalo, New York to the late George Williams, Jr. and the late Freddie Mae James.
"Moon", as he was known by many was a very kind and solitude person. He would spend many days just walking and enjoying "God's green earth."
He loved animals, especially dogs - Tuck and Ali. He also had an unconditional love for his car and spent a lot of time sitting in it with his dogs. He had a love for old school music "Hip-Hop" and conversing with the younger generations.
In his younger days he played Metro Football (Redskin and Colts). He worked at a Truck Stop until his health began to fail him.
"Moon" loved his family; and most of the time when you were not looking for him, he would find you: Aunt Tut for coffee, Uncle Charlie and the late Uncle Beauty for conversation and advise.
He was the youngest of six children. He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Felicia; and two brothers, Kenneth and Alfred.
He leaves to cherish many memories to his son, Andre; daughter, Aubrie; a brother, D. Earl (Delores); two sisters, Lisa and Linda (Tony); 3 grandchildren, 4 nieces, 7 nephews, 10 great-nephews/nieces, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A Visitation will be held at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Lakeside Park, 1140 Lake Avenue, (46805), on October 1, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will follow at 12:00 pm. with Pastor Van Adams, officiating.
