

Leonard G. Zurcher, 95 passed away Friday December 17, 2021 at his home in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born August 10, 1926 in rural Adams County, IN., the son of the late John and Aldena Zurcher. Leonard graduated from Geneva High School in 1944. He was a Korean Conflict U.S. Army Veteran.
He was the Information Systems Operations Manager at Phelps Dodge Magnet Wire Company, retiring in 1984 as a Systems Analyst.
He enjoyed life, his family, golf buddies, traveling and wintering in Florida. Leonard had a great sense of humor. He served in various leadership roles in the Church of the Nazarene, and currently a member of Grace Point Church of the Nazarene, Fort Wayne.
He is survived by his wife Connie L. (Yarian) Zurcher of Fort Wayne, IN; daughters Brenda (Garey) Miller of Knoxville, TN; Arlene (John) Minerd of Monroeville, IN; son, Stanley (Konny) Zurcher of Kokomo, IN; son in law Mark Rippe of Fort Wayne, IN; brother, John Jr. (Bernadine) Zurcher of Fort Wayne, IN; 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and much loved in-laws, nieces and nephews. Leonard was preceded in death by his first wife, Vernelle G. (Habegger) Zurcher in 2001, daughter Sandy Rippe in 2020, four brothers, Harry, Floyd, Norman, Allen, three sisters Florine, Esther, Elizabeth and a granddaughter Tracy Minerd.
Funeral service will be 10am Thursday December 23, 2021 at Grace Point Church of the Nazarene Church 8611 Mayhew Road Fort Wayne, IN., with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 6-8 pm. Wednesday December 22, 2021 at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, IN. Burial will be at M.R.E. Cemetery in Berne, IN at 12:30 pm. Thursday.
