Leonie Batalona

Leonie Batalona, age 91, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021 at the home of her daughter surrounded by family. She was born February 14, 1930 in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia. Leonie was a homemaker and seamstress working for a short time at Fishman's Women's Apparel. She loved to cook, travel, and sew for her daughters as well as women from her church. She was a member of Lincolnshire Church of the Brethren. Leonie was preceded in death by her husband, Remio A.M. Batalona; and survived by her daughters, Patty (Doug) Fasick, Felicia Wise, Marcia (Dennis) Reimschisel; grandchildren, AJ Fasick, Scott Wise, Nick, Josh and Sarah Reimschisel. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Lemmens of Den Helder, The Netherlands. Funeral Services are Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services - Highland Park, 2403 East Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, with calling two hours prior. Burial at Highland Park Cemetery will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Humane Fort Wayne.
