

Les was born on January 27, 1948 in Rensselaer, Indiana to Charles and June Stath. After he graduated from Rensselaer High School, he went on to graduate from Purdue University with a degree in business. Les had a successful 40 year career in metal reclamation and commodity trading. Les retired from Omni Source Corporation in 2008.
Les was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoors man. He had a passion for history and continued to read historical writings in his free time. Above all, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Les enjoyed taking them fishing and showing them the outdoors. Les could be found on a Saturday dropping off donuts to his grandchildren.
Les is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Patricia (Keating) Stath, sisters Charlyn Jane Stath, Lisa (John) Rothrock, Annette (Tom) Selinger, children Chris (Andrea) Stath, Melissa (Anton) Talamantes, Karen (Chris) Stath-Tracy and grandchildren Alaina, Parker, Andrew, Mateo, Wesley, Max, Jaxson, Henry, Lauryn and Sophia.
Les was proceeded in death by his parents June and Charles, son Lance Stath and granddaughter Eleanor.
