Linda K. Pranger

Linda K. Pranger, 76, of Fort Wayne, Passed away peacefully on Friday, July 31, 2020. She was born to the late Naseo and Lydia Hikel in San Diego, CA. on June 17, 1944. There she graduated from Mount Miguel High School Class of 1963. In 1994 she graduated with Honors from IPFW, receiving an A.A.S. degree in Human Services. Linda worked at Lincoln Financial from 1981-1992 and later did her Clinical work at St. Paul’s Lutheran school, Byron Health Center, and Courtland Health Center. Linda is survived by her children; Holly (Tony) Pranger and Sean (Angie) Pranger; step-children, Michael Whitaker, and Cheryl (Robert) Samons; grandchildren, Robert Coleand Riley Pranger and 12 step-grandchildren; and brother, George Hikel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Whitaker and sister, Georgette Pranger. Committal service will be on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Highland Park Cemetery (2403 E WallenRd, Fort Wayne, IN 46825). Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Funeral Home (1140 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, IN46805) following social distancing guidelines. Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Serices of NE IN or the Alzheimer's Association.
