Linda Pyle went to meet Jesus on March 7, 2026, at her home of the past twelve years, Ashton Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by caring nurses and her sister, Rita. Born in Richmond, Indiana on May 29, 1951 to James and Virginia (Rhodehamel) Koon, Linda was the oldest of their three children. Linda graduated from Portland High School in May of 1969 and then completed surgical technician training at Caylor Nickel Clinic in Bluffton. Linda served as a surgical technician at Caylor Nickel Clinic, Lutheran Hospital, St. Joe Hospital, and Parkview Hospital as well as other private surgical practices in Fort Wayne.
Linda loved artistic expression by creating flower arrangements, painting, coloring, ceramics, and other creative works. Many staff and residents at Ashton Creek were recipients of Linda’s art work.
Linda’s faith in Jesus was very important to her. She was a part of Waynedale United Methodist Church, Calvary Temple Church, and Fellowship Missionary Church. Linda also attended World Harvest Bible College in South Bend.
Linda enjoyed singing and sang in the choir while in high school, in various church choirs over the years, and in the residents’ choir at Ashton Creek.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and ex-husband, Glenn. Linda is survived by her brother Jim (Huntington), her sister Rita (Muncie), and many dear friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
