Lois A. Dettmer

LOIS A. DETTMER, 82, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, Aug. 13, 2010, at Parkview Hospital. Born Feb. 10, 1928, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Allman-dinger and Clara (Schelper) Allmandinger. She was a homemaker and member of Fellowship Missionary Church. "She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was also a good friend and inspiration to many at Saint Anne Home." Surviving are her two daughters, Susan K. Taylor of Muncie and Diane J. (Jim) McIntosh of Fort Wayne; two sons, John G. (Sally) Dettmer of San Marcos, Texas and Scott A. (Sharon) Dettmer of New Braunfels, Texas; sister, Karen (David) Grote of Valparaiso; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald V. Dettmer, in 1985; and brothers, Ralph and Ronald. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Monday at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, with calling one hour prior. Pastor David DeSelm officiating. Calling also from 3 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Preferred memorials to Fellowship Missionary Church and Saint Anne Home.
