Lonnie had a vibrant and funny personality and had many hobbies; he loved spending time outdoors whether hunting, fishing, or landscaping and was Master of the BBQ. He also enjoyed shopping and sports but cherished time spent with his family the most, especially the kids.
Lonnie is survived by his children Lonnie Wimes, Jr., Bryshawn Terry, Devon White, Kymonty Allen, Lonisha Lawrence, London Ewing, Alexa Wimes, and Alonna Daniels; and siblings, Lora Wimes, Erica Irby, Velma (Willie) Conwell, and Fredrick Wimes.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Candice Bean; sister, Lisa Wimes; and nephew, Jermond Wimes.
Visitation is Friday, March 29, from 12 - 4 pm at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Foster Park, 6301 Fairfield Ave, Fort Wayne.
