Loretta was a member of Northside Church of Christ, Fort Wayne, and retired from the Fort Wayne Newspaper, in 2000, after more than 27 years of service as a Pre-Print Coordinator. She was very active with the Boy Scouts for almost 40 years, serving as a den-mother, and received the prestigious Silver-Beaver Award, for her dedication to Scouting.
Loretta is survived by her sons, William "Bill" F. (Mischell) Masters, and Robert A. (Julia) Masters, both of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her siblings, William F. Harter of South Whitley, and Laura June Holle of Tucson, Arizona. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester K. Masters; and sisters, Lois Holle, and Elizabeth Helbert.
A funeral service to honor Loretta's life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, July 8, 2022, at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
