Luba J. Evans, 94, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018 in Fort Wayne. Born in Neret, Macedonia, Luba owned and operated Southtown Inn with her family for 48 years. She was a member of St. Nicholas Eastern Orthodox Church. Luba loved to cook and loved seeing others happy. She was very gracious and always had a smile on her face. Surviving are her children, Bill J. Evans and Cathy (Paul) Carteaux, both of Fort Wayne; two grandsons, Chris (Myra) Evans and Bradley (Ellen) Carteaux; and 6 great-grandchildren. Luba was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James E Evans; son, Thomas J. Evans; brother, Bill Anthony; and granddaughter, Amy Castleman. Service is 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at St. Nicholas Eastern Orthodox Church, 3535 Crescent Ave with an hour of calling prior to the service, with Father Andrew Jarmus and Prododeacon Michael Myers officiating. Calling at St. Nicholas Eastern Orthodox Church, Tuesday, June 5, 2018, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm with a Memorial Trisagion Prayer Service at 7:00 pm. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
