He was born June 6, 1968, in Ft. Wayne, IN, to Russell and Raetta (Rigby) Hardesty.
Surviving are 3 sons, Austin (Elisha) Hardesty of Ft. Wayne, In, Lucanus (Rebecca Anderson) Hardesty of Goshen, In, Jeremiah Hardesty of Indianapolis, In; 4 grandchildren and 2 siblings, Jacob Hardesty of Churubusco, IN and Rusty Hardesty of Ft. Wayne, In. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Lucanus was a member of the north American Hunting Club and a member of the NRA. He enjoyed photography, hunting, and just being outdoors.
A Celebration of Life will be held at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Pine Valley, 1320 E. Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46825, on November 2, 2026, at 3:00 pm, with a memorial gathering one hour prior to the service.
