Lucas Paul Merkler, 16 days old, passed away on February 15, 2019, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Survivors include his mother, Sara Merkler, sister, Emma Merkler, grandfather, David Merkler, uncles; John (Alycia), and Joseph (Melissa) Merkler, many cousins, Noah, Tyler, Ayden, Ella, Kerrington, Elijah, Ryan, and Grace. Lucas was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lou Ann Merkler, Identical twin brother, and cousin, Gabriel Merkler. Services will be held on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 10am with calling one hour prior from 9-10am at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 917 West Jefferson Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46802. Burial will take place at Concordia Cemetery Gardens, 5300 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46815. Memorial donations may be directed to Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
