

M. Evelyn Brincefield, 74, of Roanoke, passed away December 24, 2013. She was born on August 6, 1939 in Cave City, Arkansas to the late William H. and Virgie M. (Brewer) Pinkston. She worked at Southwest Allen County School as a lunch lady and school bus driver for 35 years. She was a member of TOPS and was captain of her high school basketball team. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, reading, traveling with her sisters, and spending time with friends and family. Surviving family include her children, Timothy Brincefield, Sherry Hoium, Linda (Paul) Rowan, Carl W. (Karen) Brincefield III; 9 grandchildren, and 6 great granddaughters. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her husband, Carl W. Brincefield, Jr; sisters, Virginia, Grace, Patsy; and brother Jerry. A funeral service will be 1:00 pm on Monday, December 30, 2013 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne with visitation starting at 11:00 am. Visitation will also be 5-7 pm on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana or Visiting Nurse.
