I have known Mabel since I was a high school teen working at he Van Orman Hotel in the early 1960's. Mable worked exclusively in the press club. We all admired her professionalism and the love and respect she commanded from Ft Wayne's Journalist. Mable set standards that many of us remembered throughout our professional careers. She was the sweetest person and would always make me feel special. In my teens and in my 60's when I spoke to her last at a Howell's Barn reunion a few years ago. All of us blessed to have know Mabel can agree, we were touched by an Angel! She will be missed!

Aunt Ruth God has Been a great blessing to you. We will miss you. Thank God you're in a better place.

Aunt Mable, I know God has been waiting on this "angel" for a long time. You have truly earned your wings. To my family, I spoke to you all by phone wish I could have been there to console and comfort you but my heart and prayers will always be there.
