Mara D. Parker

Mara was employed by North American Van Lines for 17 years, then worked and retired from Norwest/Wells Fargo bank. Mara enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and her fur-babies. She had a passion for gardening, and could tell you what every plant and flower was and how they were used. Mara is survived by her son, Adam (Becky) Parker of Fort Wayne; daughter, Star (Manuel) Soto of Mexico; three granddaughters, Alexia, Brianna, and Naomi; and a grandson, Austin; two brothers, Zachary (Henrietta Welch) Strong of Fort Wayne, Dan (Irene) Strong of Springfield, Ohio; a sister, Vicki (Terry) Weck of Fort Wayne; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Hailey.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, August 20, 2021, at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home (1327 North Wells Street, Fort Wayne), with a visitation beginning at 11:00 AM until time of service.
