Marc attended North Side High School and Leo High School, graduating in 1989. He served in the United States Air Force and Indiana Air National Guard as a jet engine mechanic in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, Operation Noble Eagle, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He attained the rank of Master Sergeant, retiring as a full-time technician for the 122nd Fighter Wing in 2024 after thirty-two years of service.
Marc was resilient, honest, and strong. He found humor in every part of life, and he had a laugh that spread. He was a devoted Komets & Cubs fan, an animal lover, and someone who knew how to sing along to a good song.
He is survived by his three children, Monica, Jared, and Nicholas; his parents, Sam and Jayne Connor; his siblings, Scott (Lori) Young and Sarah (Tom) Zuber; his wife, Tammy; and his sweet dog, Maverick. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Young; and his beloved grandparents, Clyde and Liz Young of Jackson, TN and Paul and Carol Goodwin of Fort Wayne, IN.
Marc was deeply loved, and he will be missed forever.
Funeral services for Marc will be held 1:30 pm Friday September 25, 2026, at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN, with visitation three hours prior at the funeral home. Committal and burial will follow at Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
