Margaret L. Haft, 96, passed away on August 3, 2026. She was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana on June 18, 1930, daughter of the late Robert and Ruth (Brenkman) Roeger. Margaret was a life long member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church. She had a passion for teaching piano. Margaret loved anything music and spending her time gardening. She was a friend to all. Margaret is survived by her children, Mary (Ronald Nifong) Haft, Gerry Haft, and Chuck (Stephanie) Haft; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn Mathys and Mary Exner; and family friend, Connie Ault. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Haft; son, Joseph Haft; grandson, Keihland Haft; sister, Cecile Roeger; brothers, Jack and William Roeger. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, 1515 Barthold Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46808, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, August 10, 2026 at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 North Wells Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46808, with a rosary service beginning at 4:00 pm. Burial to follow the service at Highland Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Stillwater Hospice or the University of Saint Francis Saint Joseph Alumni Scholarship.
