Margaret Deloris Leacock departed this life at the age of 86 on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Stillwater Hospice in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was a daughter of the late William and Pearl (nee. McClanahan) Combs, born December 9, 1939, in Brighton, Indiana.
She was a graduate of Kendallville High School class of 1957. For many years she worked for Avon Cosmetics.
Margaret was married to Stephen Henry Leacock for 47 years before his untimely passing in 2017.
She enjoyed reading, bird watching, being with her family, and her beloved dogs, Penny, Beau, and Holly.
Margaret will always be remembered for her love of family and friends. Her smile lit up every room she was in.
She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish many precious memories to her nephew, David Young of Filmore, IN; a niece, Teresa Ford of Kendallville IN; and brother-in-law, Leroy Young of Kendallville; and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services are 11:00 AM Thursday, January 22, 2025, at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes – Covington Knolls, 8325 Covington Road (46804) with visitation one hour prior to services. Visitation also on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at the funeral home from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM. She will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
