Margaret L. Longstreet, 98, passed away peacefully, Sunday May 26, 2024. Margaret was born December 16, 1925, in Logansport to the late Edward and Elsie (Smith) Hahn. She was married to Harold C. Margaret graduated from South Side High School and earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Wittenberg University. She was a dedicated teacher, devoted wife, and caring mother. In her younger years, Margaret enjoyed quilting, camping with her family, and tending a large garden. Later, she became very active in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Margaret is survived by her children -- Jan (Mark) Laurent, Jody (Mac) Hedges, Diane Tulloh, and Steven (Shawnita) Longstreet, all of Syracuse; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A private celebration of Margaret’s life will be held later. Memorial donations in Margaret’s honor may be directed to Doctors without Borders or Habitat for Humanity.
