Maria Arias, 95, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023. Born on December 5, 1927, in Lima, Peru. She was a daughter of Alejandro Arias and Agustina Valencia de Arias. Maria was a kind, strong and devoted mother and grandmother. She spent her life taking care of her children. She always encouraged education as the most important thing in life to all her children as well as her grandchildren. She always had a smile for everyone who met her and she always was willing to help everyone who needed a hand. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and she loved read and to cross stitch.
She is survived by her daughters, Norma Jetmore, Carmen Paz Nino and Juanita Valencia. Son Victor Pinto and son in law Jeffrey Jetmore. Grandchildren Alexi Jetmore, Diana Paz Nino, Santiago y Nataly Pinto. She was also preceded in death by her only brother Mario Arias.
Funeral service will be 2:00pm, Friday, May 19, 2023, at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to the family.
