Marianna Forbes, 94, of Fort Wayne, passed away on October 23, 2021. Born on May 19, 1927, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late George Cooper, and Esther (nee Small) Watson. She retired in 1990, from the Indiana Insurance Claims Office, after more than 32 years of service.
Marianna is survived by her daughter, Marcia Peters, of Lima, Ohio; step-son, Kirk Forbes, of Noblesville; 4 grandchildren, Amy Gagliardi (Scott), Jennifer Winkeljohn (Tony), Jason Peters (Erica), Curtis Gater (Zolakah) and 4 great-grandchildren, Tyler Winkeljohn, Adam Winkeljohn, Alexis Peters, Aiden Gater; Sisters, Sharon Fleetwood, Laura Jane Cooper, JoEllyn Murphree. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Forbes; son, Stephen Gater; step-mother, Dorothy Cooper; brother, Herbert Cooper, sister, Carolyn Warner.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, November 5, 2021, at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home (1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne), with calling one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne. A Celebration of Life Gathering will take place at What’s Up Pub & Grub (918 Woodland Plaza Run, Fort Wayne) immediately following the burial.
Memorial donations in Marianna's honor may be given to a charity of the Donor's Choice.
