

MARIE ELISABETH BODINKA, 86, of Fort Wayne, died on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, 7:10 p.m., at Saint Anne Home. Born April 29, 1926, in Bonenburg, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Josef Kohaupt and Elisabeth (Schwartzen) Kohaupt. She was a cook at Precious Blood School for 22 years, retiring in 1990. "She was a loving mother and grandmother. She cooked for many and was loved by all." She was a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church. Surviving are two sons, Steve (Tammy) Bodinka of Ft. Wayne; Carl Bodinka, of Spencervill ; daughter-in-law, Patty Bodinka of Spencerville; and grandchildren, Chelsea, Haley and Tim. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gangolf F. Bodinka; son, Fred.and daughter in law Jan. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, with visitation one hour prior. Fr. Joseph Gaughan officiating. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St., with Rosary recited at 3:30 p.m. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery.
