Marilyn June Alvather

Marilyn June Alvather, 88, has ended her earthly walk and joined her Lord Jesus Christ in heaven for her eternal life. She was welcomed into Heaven on November. 25th 2018. Marilyn was born on June 30th 1930 to her parents Ellen and Royce Rider. She married the love of her life Donald Louis Alvather on Christmas Day 1951. Together they shared life and love for 66 years. They raised two precious daughters, Debra Lamson (Craig) and Cheryl Alvather whom Marilyn cherished. Marilyn had two grandchildren, Alex Mahlan (Pooja) and Jessica Mahlan, and great granddaughter Ariana Mahlan. Marilyn was blessed to have a family of loving brothers and sisters. Robert Rider (Janet), Dottie Cummings (Vernon) and Sister-in-Law Rita Rider. Marilyn was proceeded in passing by sisters, Eva (Max) Lydy, Evelyn (Paul) Bradbury, Betty (Don) Warren, Mary (Harvey) Mason and Brothers Homer Rider and Harold (Eleanor) Rider. Marilyn’s greatest joy in life was being a wife and a mother. She enjoyed camping with Don, her children and grandchildren. She cherished her time Square dancing with her husband, and she was devoted to her church. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and many friends. Please join with us for a viewing and celebration of her life at County Line Church of God, 7716 N. County Line Rd. E Auburn, IN, on Friday November 30th, 2018 from 1-3:30 pm and 5-7:30 pm. A service of remembrance will be held at 10 am on Saturday December 1, 2018 at County Line Church, officiated by Pastor Stuart Kruse, followed by Marilyn’s internment at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Fort Wayne Indiana.
