Marilyn A. Buchanan

MARILYN BUCHANAN, 89, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday, Feb. 8, 2016. Born Feb. 27, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Margaret (Gardner) Buchanan. Marilyn spent her days working as a school music teacher. She was very passionate about traveling, having traveled to every continent except Antarctica. She was a member of First Wayne Street United Methodist Church, Fort Wayne, Area Retired Teachers Association, Sigma Alpha Iota, Fort Wayne Alumnae Chapter (Music,) and was a former cellist with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic.

Surviving are her cousins, James Gardner, Fred Gardner, Richard Ellison, and Penny Green. She is also survived by many adoring students and her best friend, Eloise Guy.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Services provided by Klaehn Fahl & Melton Funeral Home.
