Marilyn attended North Side High School, and was a member of Trinity English Lutheran Church. She retired in 1994 after 28 and 1/2 years as a medical receptionist. Marilyn was a kind sole who loved her family, including her beloved dogs. She enjoyed longtime co-worker friendships, her card club gals, and IU basketball. Marilyn was the last of a trio we lovingly referred to as the golden girls. Survivors include her daughters, Kathy Whiteleather of Ft. Wayne, Debby (James) Lemmel of Fremont, IN, and Vicky (Lonnie) Lamb of Ft. Myers, FL; grandchildren, Jason (Tiffany) Whiteleather, and Amy (Donovan) Berry; 7 great-grandchildren, Colin and Grady Tarney, Hailey and Devon Whiteleather, Adelyn, Zachery, and Ian Berry; sister, Lois Neuman of Ft. Wayne; sister-in-law, Kathleen Roush of Huntsville, AL; 2 nieces and 2 nephews. She was preceded in death by infant son, Ricky Kent Dale; husband, Vaughn Dale; parents, Eugene and Velma (Stellhorn) Roush; granddaughter, Bree (Achenbach) Tarney; brother, Donald Roush; nephew, Eugene Roush II; and brother-in-law, Thomas Neuman.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2pm, Saturday, March 20, 2021 at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home (1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne), with calling one hour prior. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery.
