Marina Laukota Garrett, was born on July 21, 1996, in Lafayette, Indiana to Patricia and Lance Garrett. Her transition from this life was on October 9, 2025.
Many knew her as "Kota." She was a beautiful, free-spirited, loving and caring person who embraced life. She loved animals, to sing, do crafts, artwork, traveling and being in nature, especially the Redwood Forest in California.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lance Garrett; grandfather, Frank Garrett; maternal grandparents, David & Maria Garay.
Kota will always be remembered and cherished in the hearts of her mother, Patricia Garrett (Sean Gibson); her son, Theodore Oliver Knight; her brother, Lantz Garrett; her grandmother, Mary Garrett; and Fiancée, Charlie Even; other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Lakeside Park, 1140 Lake Avenue, in Fort Wayne.
