Marjorie E. Hensler, 97, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023. Born on Saturday, July 11, 1925, in Monroeville, she was a daughter of the late Leo M and Catherine (nee Martin) Arend. She was a Charter Member of St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, and was a longtime member of the church choir. She was also a member of TOPS, an avid bowler, BUNCO player, and loved scrapbooking.
She is survived by her children, Robert (Marie) Hensler Jr, David (Candace) Hensler, Gary (Sandra) Hensler, Cindy (Dennis) Eisberg, Pam (J.D.) Waters, and Kevin Hensler; sisters, Dorothy (Dale) Arnold, Joan (Kay) Brown, and Rosemary Thompson; as well as 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband Robert J Hensler Sr, in 2008; and siblings, Virginia Kroemer, Betty Miller, Kenneth Arend, Richard Arend and Basil Arend.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30am, Monday, April 24, 2023, at St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior, Fr. Thomas Shoemaker, officiating. Calling will also be held from 2 to 5, Sunday, April 23, 2023, at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, with a Rosary service at 4:30pm. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to St Charles Borromeo Catholic School, or to Heart to Heart Hospice.
