

Marjorie Lutien Mueller, 96, beloved wife and mother, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Born on December 6, 1925 in Algoma, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of Rutherford and Olga (Lutien) Densow, and granddaughter of Emma Lutien, Wisconsin’s first female Sheriff.
Marjorie graduated from Algoma High School and Northwest Institute of Medical Technology in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was employed at Mennonite Hospital in Bloomington, Illinois, and was a member of the Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority. She then married Erwin Mueller at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Algoma, Wisconsin, on September 24, 1949. With Erwin’s service as a U.S. Postal Inspector, they moved from Bloomington, IL, to Marion, IN, finally settling in Fort Wayne, IN. She was employed in the Developmental Office of Concordia Lutheran High School, and was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. She is survived by three daughters; Jane (Robert) Dannhausen of Fort Wayne, Jennifer (Michael) Aspy of Carmel, IN, and Jill Hawley of Sarasota, FL; and three grandchildren, Chris Dannhausen, Madeline (Paul) Schiffman, and Sydney Hawley. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Erwin, after 71 years of marriage.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30PM on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation beginning at 11:30AM until time of service. Burial will take place in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne.
